Raymond Chow the Artist Musical on the life of Mata Hari – the woman who invented the strip tease – was wrongfully executed as a first world war spy by France... I was asked to write music for the celebrated Annie Lennox by an acquiantance of hers here in Vancouver, BC. It never transpired...but I studied her fun but tragic life and wrote 36 unique piano songs to parallel her romantic, unique, sensual exploits as a strip tease artist. She danced in 1900 through 1916 in Europe. I wish to have a ballet, musical film produced of Mata Hari – our version with our music. I also own her sun parasol which I found in an antique store in Vancouver Island some 6 years ago. CD: $22 Join our music club: $25 per year, includes newsletter updates to my new music.
