My recovery from a dismal failed ten year marriage was in part due to my deciding to be happy with my two motherless children aged five and nine. Also I knew I had to keep painting scenes and people whom gave my eye a sense of pleasure.
One day when passing a Vancouver Main Street vintage clothing store, an exquisite white satin gown caught my attention. I bought the dress as I was quickly inspired to have different models and women try it on, so that I could do portraits of each. In all there were eight different women posing for the fourty unique canvasses produced. There were times when the dress did not fit as it should, as it was designed for a smaller-breasted woman. This even resulted in me sometimes painting my model with the dress off.
